PANDEMIC PROJECTS

See what our Guild members have been working on during the Pandemic.

As I usually give my projects away, my children have urged me to
make   a record of the thing I make.  So I now have my recent projects in
a book.    Plan to give one to the guild library.

Kathy's pandemic travels

My trip included every quilt shop from Cherokee, Gatlinburg, Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Franklin, just to name a few. “Sassy Stitchers”, in Franklin is awesome. Found a place out of Bryson City, that had piles of fabric for 5 and 6 dollars a yard. SP fabrics is the name. I bagged mine separately and washed it as soon as I got home. Some of the fabric might have been older than me. I bought 6 yards of something that I probably didn’t need but had fun for very little effort. Hope you enjoyed the pic’s.

Karen's pandemic projects
The only things I've sewn during this time were masks.  Instead, we've been decluttering our house in preparation for a move, so this picture of some boxes that are being donated represents the difficult purging going on here. Of course, I should've been doing this for the 32 years we've lived in this house! I'm not a hoarder...I'm NOT!  But I did save almost every toy my kids had and 2 of them came to clean out that crawl space. My daughter packed her car as tightly as a husband, baby and dog allowed and will be the keeper of the toys until her brothers have kids.  Now it's just our stuff...OK, MY stuff. The loads of boxes I've packed up from my wonderful sewing room has been astonishing. I'm not sure where it will go but it's coming with me.
